There seem to be associations for just about every group of people . . . those over 50, biologists, accountants, dentists and so on. There’s even an association of associations. Each association is designed to benefit its membership. Yet, there is no credible association of rednecks . . . designed to serve the millions and millions of rednecks in this country.
We enjoy much of the
humor that has become popular among many comedians. As such, rednecks certainly do have a sense of humor. However, rednecks are much more than the punch-line of jokes. So, another important purpose of the American Redneck Society is to “spit-polish” the image of rednecks . . . to shine the light on positive characteristics of the redneck culture. One such characteristic is a love of country and respect for core American values . . . those held by our founding fathers, not liberals in politics and media. For these reasons, the American Redneck Society’ motto is: “Sense of Country, Sense of Humor.”
Our Mission: Present and Future
To start, our primary goal is to build a large membership “society” (association) of rednecks based upon our redneck affinity. Affinity: of or relating to persons (rednecks) who share the same interest (sense of country, sense of humor).
Once we’ve achieved this goal, the American Redneck Society can use its numbers to negotiate, brow-beat, cajole or bribe businesses to give card-carrying rednecks tangible benefits (put money in our pockets).
“I can’t wait to use over 35 years of business experience and contacts that would allow me to walk into to the corporate offices of Gander Mountain and Walmart and say hello, I’m the Executive Director of an association of more than 1 million rednecks and would like an awards program that will put real dollars into the pockets of our members, real card-carrying rednecks” (Rob Clayton, Executive Director and Founder of the American Redneck Society).
10% of every membership fee will be set aside in the “Redneck Scholarship Fund” as our way of helping rednecks in need to improve their lot in life by pursuing a college education.
With numbers, the founders of the American Redneck Society become more active with the Redneck Political Alliance, political action committee formed to represent the interests of its members in our nation’s capital. The Redneck Political Alliance’s only allegiance will be to card-carrying members of the American Redneck Society AND will have no allegiance to any particular party.
